It's always a treat to stop by El Parasol. The service is quick and accurate. It is the perfect stop for a quick bite on the road. The menu choices make it hard to pick from because everything i have tasted has been good. I ended up choosing the frito pie. It is best eaten at the restaurant so your fritos don't get too soggy. The red chile was tasty with some spiciness. The garnish was fresh and it accentuates the dish delightfully.
This is always a great stop. It's our go-to place. Food is always tasty, and fare prices, that will fill you up. They have indoor seating, as well as patio dog friendly.
Had the green chicken tamale, the cheese enchilada with green chili, and the green chili stew. All were excellent. If from out of state like me, this place seems to be a great place to sample all the green chili New Mexican offerings.
So love the specials ! Delicious Caldo Talpeno : a soup with chicken, garbanzos, avocado and Chipotle chili. We also had a calabacita squash burrito. Happy happy food. I'm sure each El Parasol is slightly different. Ours out in Pojoaque is staffed by the nicest people :).
The staff and food are top notch. The food was very quick and fresh. Always make you feel welcome and.the prices are very affordable. I had the green chili double with everything on it. Very tasty and enjoyable. The green chili chicken tamale was very tasty after adding a small sprinkle of salt to bring out the flavors. Will be a regular here for sure!!!!
This place is a hole in the wall gem It's out in the middle of nowhere, right off the highway, but there's always people eating in there and one thing my abuelita always told me is hijo always eat at the places the locals eat at!! Can't go wrong with the chicken and beef taco plate. Can't decide between red and green sauce??? Get both! Get the rice and posole as a side. Stuff your face, give gracias to your abuelita!
El Parasol offers the best tacos, the way Grandma would make them, filled and fried! You get your choice of red or green salsa, the red is HOT! I also got a bean and cheese burrito with green chile, so good!
This place is my personal favorite. The chicken guacamole tacos are the best and the posole is delicious.
